From
New Jersey Turnpike (North or South)
- Turn off at Exit 9. After toll booths bear to the right;
follow signs for "Route 18 North - New Brunswick."
- Proceed along Route 18 North and take the exit marked
"Route 1 South - Trenton".
- Proceed along Route 1 South and take the exit marked
"College Farm Road."
- Proceed along College Farm Road onto the Cook Campus.
Turn left to Dudley Road; CAFT is the first building on
your left.

From Garden State Parkway (North or South)
- Southbound - Coming from northern New Jersey
- Turn off at Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head
south.
- Follow directions to campus from Route 18 North, below.
- Northbound - Coming from southern New Jersey
- Turn off at Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North.
- After approximately 24 miles you will pass the entrance for
the New Jersey Turnpike and continue on Route 18 North.
- Follow directions to campus from Route 18 North, below.
- Proceed along Route 18 North and take the exit marked
"Route 1 South - Trenton".
- Proceed along Route 1 South and take the exit marked
"College Farm Road."
- Proceed along College Farm Road onto the Cook Campus.
- Turn left to Dudley Road; CAFT is the first
building on your left.
From
Route 1 (North or South)
- Turn off at exit marked "Route 18 North-New
Brunswick"
- Proceed along Route 18 North and take the exit marked
"Route 1 South - Trenton".
- Proceed along Route 1 South and take the exit marked
"College Farm Road."
- Proceed along College Farm Road onto the Cook Campus.
Turn left to Dudley Road; CAFT is the first
building on your left.
From
Route 287 (North or South)
- Turn off at Exit 9 (formerly Exit 5) "River Road,
Bound Brook, Highland Park".
Proceed East on River Road toward Highland Park until you
reach the fifth traffic light (approximately 3.4 miles) at the intersection of River Road,
Metlars Lane and Route 18.
Turn right at the River Road traffic light onto Route 18
and cross the Raritan River on the John Lynch Memorial Bridge.
At the first traffic light make a right onto Commercial
Avenue.
Proceed to the first traffic light and make a left onto
George Street.
Proceed on George Street to the first traffic light and
make a right onto Nichol Avenue then take fourth turn left on Dudley Road.
CAFT is immediately after the intersection of Dudley Road with College Farm Road, on
your left.
Via Public Transit
Trains
- New Jersey Transit's Northeast Cooridor Line provides New
Brunswick with both local and express service between New York and Newark's Penn Stations
and Trenton New Jersey. (For Information 201-762-5100).
- SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority)
provides service at Trenton to and from Philadelphia. (For Information 215-580-7800).
- Amtrak provides limited direct service to New Brunswick,
however connections can easily be made via New Jersey Transit trains to principle Amtrak
stations at MetroPark, New York and Trenton. (For Information 1-800-USA-RAIL).
Buses
- New Jersey Transit Bus Routes (For Information
201-762-5100):
- M11 - Service between New Brunswick (St. Peter's
Hospital) and South River (Main Street and Obert Street). This route also has a stop at
the New Brunswick Train Station.
- M14 - Service between North Brunswick
(Fashion Plaza Mall) and Edison (Middlesex County College) with a stop at the Rutgers
Student Center on the College Avenue Campus.
- M15/M18 - Service between Woodbridge Center
and Rutgers Student Center with stops at the Rutgers Student Center on the College Avenue
Campus, downtown New Brunswick on George Street near the Civic Square Building, and on the
Douglass Campus on George Street near Cooper Dining Hall.
- Suburban Transit Routes (For Information 732-249-1100):
- New York City Express - Service between Princeton
and New York City with a stop at the New Brunswick Train Station.
- 135 - Service between Manville and New York City
with a stop at the New Brunswick Train Station.
- 60 - Service between New Brunswick and Somerville
with a stop at the New Brunswick Train Station.
From New Brunswick Train Station to Campus
- The New Brunswick Train Station is located at the corner of
Albany Street and Easton Avenue across from the Rutgers Bookstore.
- Cab service is available from the train station.
- Campus Bus route "F" will provide direct service
from the Train Station/Rutgers Bookstore to the Cook/Douglass Campus.
- Information and directions for reaching other campuses or
facilities can be obtained at either the Rutgers Student Center's Information Desk or the
Campus Bus Depot.
